10 Valentine's Day Events for Kids and Families in Walnut Creek and Surrounding Cities

For kids, Valentine's Day is all about candy, crafting, friendship and family! You can help make it a fun and special time by participating in one of these activities taking place in the Diablo Valley and Lamorinda areas of the East Bay in February 2018. 


Saturday, February 3rd, 9 to 11 am - Town of Moraga Teddy Bear Tea - Kids ages 4 to 9 years old are invited to bring a grown-up and a favorite teddy or stuffed friend to the Hacienda de las Flores in Moraga for a day to remember. Enjoy a variety of teas, treats and a craft while sharing quality time with each other. 


Saturday, February 3rd, 10 am to 12 pm - Valentine Lovebugs Craft at Michael's Kids Club®, Pleasant Hill - They make, you shop! Kids 3 and up and can enjoy making Valentine's Day lovebugs using clothespins and pom poms. All supplies provided. Parent or guardian must remain on the premises. $2 per child.


Friday, February 9th, 6 to 7:30 pm - My Little Sweatheart Dinner Dance in Pleasant Hill - Enjoy dinner & dancing with your little sweetheart(s)! A lovely way to celebrate Valentine’s Day as a family. This event is for both boys and girls (1–10 yrs). Dinner included: pasta, salad, bread and dessert. Advance registration required.


Saturday, February 10th, 11 am to 3 pm - Buzzing Valentine Mailbox Craft for Kids at Lakeshore Learning in Walnut Creek - Kids ages 3 and up are invited to drop-in and make an adorable bee themed mailbox for Valentines. FREE event. 


Sunday, February 11th, 3 - 4;30 pm - Make Peace Kits & Valentines for Veterans with Mindful Littles in Lafayette - For kids ages 3-12 and their families. Express gratitude and love for our veterans, practice yoga with a veteran and his own little one and put together Peace Kits and Valentines to express heartfelt thanks at this meaningful event.


Monday, February 12th, 10 am to 12 pm - Be My Valentine Mini Monday at Lindsay Wildlife Experience in Walnut Creek - Let your child guide their own explorations of the natural world! This event is designed for children ages 2–5 to play and learn, along with an adult caregiver. Includes age-appropriate crafts and activity stations at their own pace, as well as hands-on presentations with animal ambassadors. Drop-in only, no advance registration.


Tuesday, February 13th, 12:15 to 1:30 pm - Valentine's Footprint Crafts in Walnut Creek - This is a special Valentines arts n' crafts event with your little one! All supplies provided. Make a cute 'handmade' project from you and your young child. Rainbow footprints on special keepsake paper become adorable owls or hearts or any other designs you can come up with (or choose one of the designs suggested). 


Tuesday, February 13th, 4 to 4:45 pm - Valentine's Day Cards & Crafts at Moraga Library - If you haven't made a card for your friend, parent, grandparent or other special person yet head to Moraga Library to make one! Already made your cards? No problem, you can also create an original Valentine's Day craft. FREE event.


Wednesday, February 14th, 10 am to 12 pm and 5 to 7 pm, Valentine's Day Jump at Pump It Up, Concord - Grab your Valentine for a fun jump time with bubbles and glow lights this Valentine's Day.


Wednesday, February 14th, 4 to 5 pm - Valentine's Day Crafternoon at Concord Library - Head to Concord Library on Valentine's Day for an afternoon of crafts, games, and fun! FREE event.
